Thing #4
After reading several blogs I have realized that I am not the only one behind on technology. Most of the blogs were written by teachers who will be able implement the 23 things in their classrooms. I am excited about that for my children and grandchildren. We were at lunch at Sunday and all of the adults and two grandchildren were all using some sort of electronic equipment. So, this is the only way to future learning. My thoughts are how to use some or all of this in my office.

I know what you mean about the kids using all this electronic equipment. I HAD to learn how to text in order to get my teenager to answer her phone! They just rarely talk on the phone. It's all about texting now. This is how they live and communicate so, of course, this will be how they learn.
ReplyDeleteWhen I went through the 23 Things last year, my 9 year old would bring in her laptop, ask we what I was working on, and she would create the same product in less time and without directions. They just amaze me with how at ease they are with technology. We just have to get past the worrying about "messing" something up.
ReplyDeleteI am still young and technology seems to be flying by even ME! Blogging is very new to me, but I am starting to see some of the benefits. It does allow me to express what I think and get feedback from other readers. It will be great to be more tech savvy after this class so I can use it in my classroom and daily life.
